I think the club are already overriding him by having a bigger squad, City will not make the same mistake again of not having enough players of quality if an injury crisis happens again,

Pep and City will have an in-house fight with so many players at the club, Pep hates having to say sorry you're not in the squad, i think its 34 players city have at the moment ??

We won't have a squad of 34 when he season starts, it will be 25 ish. 17 NHG, 3 or 4 HG, 3 CT, 2 U21. Can't think of one good reason he'd leave next summer.

Can’t see it under the new CL system the old one yes, as you got some dead rubbers. In this Swiss system every game matters.

Not really, it mattered for us because we shat the bed big time, in the old format we dont get out of the groups. Dippers had about 3 games that didnt matter last season and PSG qualifying right near the bottom and winning it with ease shows the league position is pointless, they'll be plenty of games that dont matter if we do our job

Has to be. Kelleher went for the top end of that. Flekken went for £12m, petrovic went for about £25m. If thats the market then Ortegas value has to be within that range you've said. So expect him to go on a free with up to £3m in add ons if he wins the balon d'or...

There are some differences though.

Kelleher is 22. Ortega is 32 and in his last contract year.
Flekken had a contract til 2028.
Petrovic had a contract til 2030.

There are some differences though.

Kelleher is 22. Ortega is 32 and in his last contract year.
Flekken had a contract til 2028.
Petrovic had a contract til 2030.

That's why I put him in that range, hes flat out a much better keeper than all of them but factoring in age and contract that seems right.

I think the club is incredible skilled with transfer financials and whatever fees we pay or receive will not be done with comprehensive due diligence

I really hope the Trafford return works out and he’s given time to grow into the team. I’ve never understood why goalkeepers cant rotate, we do it with every other position.
