It's a shame. I defended Grealish during his first season, saying give him time. I was delighted with him during his second season, until we won the PL. From that period on, Jack Grealish became Jack The Lad, & has never consistently found that second season form.

I was hoping Pep would utilise him centrally, but he rarely does for whatever reason. He was a shadow of his second season self yesterday, & has continued his uninspiring form.

My thinking isn't so much adding JBG, it's more about replacing Jack with a homegrown player who seems to be developing well.

We've just signed 2 CB's, have been linked with an unknown DM (unless that's a contradiction), have a full back incoming I think plus maybe the Italian lad. Another forward is fine.

Call me crazy but I feel Doku will be *transitioned* into a midfielder. He's amazing at getting the ball upfield and you can't get the ball off him.

I can see him getting the Kovacic role.
