Jamie Foxx Racist Comment

I'm sorry, but I'm struggling to see the 'racism' in what he said...

The possesion of a person because of thier skin colour? The fact he beleived he has more of a right to "own"/"mourn"/"respect" him because he was a black man? The fact he believes he speaks for the entire black population when he says he "shared" him with us?

(I am presuming by "you" he meant "white people")

Even if its not deemed a racist comment, Jamie Foxx is still a fool. ;)

Foxx IS a loud mouth, by all accounts.

However, being PRO-Black/ White/ Red/ Whatever does not make one a racist. It means they love their people without disrespecting others.

if you think thats bad did anyone see MJ's dad on tv this afternoon?
he claimed his son was murdered
then spent 10min promoting his new record lable
and when asked about the funeral he said it would be public!!

He's allegedly not the greatest father that's ever lived, I think that's fair to say.

Hardly racist, admittedly would appear different if it was a white guy saying it of another white guy but still, hardly racist.

Perhaps this is where my confusion is here.

I think if, for arguements sake, Rowan Williams came out as the Pope died and said; "...he was a great white man, he was ours and we shared him with everyone else."

I think they're be a backlash from catholic, non white communities, and i could understand that. Why is this different?
