This one was odd because Joško almost always had the lowest match ratings of the whole team (often unfairly I thought), but now they have decided they like him.

I know most of you think all this is crap. And I typically prefer the opinions on here about players. But I still read this crap.

Wanted to post these Per 90 stats for further perspective on some of our players’ creative productivity this season. It is ordered by xAG, which takes in to account the quality of the chance created.

I post a more comprehensive comparison focusing on Kev’s dominance in this category earlier in the thread, but this also illustrates other City players contributions. We have 4 players in the top 25 and City have the highest total xAG Per 90 across players appearing in the top 25 (with 1.64; Liverpool are in second with 1.54). Funny enough, Arsenal had about half of our total xAG Per 90 across their players that appeared in the top 25, and based on Asists Per 90 and xAG Per 90, we slightly outperformed expectations more than they did.

Thought it would be interesting to take player season ratings from a publication that has been somewhat negative when it comes to City coverage and see if blues agree or disagree.

I’ve aggregated Jamie Jackson’s ratings (out of 10) below, with his supporting analysis as to why at the article linked below (I have included a direct link because I think it is generally positive and so actually want to drive engagement with it, as opposed to the recent hit job articles of Lieu and Wilson).

Gomez is a bit tight - but there's not much to prove otherwise due to lack of game time.
Bobb would potentially be the other gripe - I'd have given him an 8.
To balance things Doku isn't a 9 - I'd say 8, great talent just needs to sharpen the end product
Otherwise it's a pretty balanced set of scores - and the reasoning isn't too bad either.
I'd be interested in a comparison with our nearest rivals (obviously pointless comparing us to a team from Stretford)
