You very rarely hear him criticise City and he was on his own when supporting NDJ tackle v Newcastle.
One of the better panel "experts" IMO.

High praise indeed, although I have to agree with him. On occasions we played the ball like Barcalona. Every player looks composed and comfortable on the ball, several times I saw one of our players with several fulhqm players surrounding them only for our player to do a turn and pass the ball into space - breath taking stuff

I think he said it was the best 45 minutes (of the first half) that any team has played this season, and though I'm biased I'd have to agree with him. Spuds were absolutely brilliant against us in the first half of the first game of the season (not that they got anything to show for it) and Chelsea were very good in the early games of the season against some mediocre opposition. However the three goals we scored could easily have been 4 or 5 - Kolarov's one on one and the ball he put in from the left hand side than nobody attacked spring to mind - but our all round football was just fantastic. The mover that led to Yaya's goal was immense. NDJ showing a trick or two come come past 2 fulham midfielders was fantastic. Silva looks better and better each game, and you can't say enough about Tevez. There was only Jo who didn't have an absolutel blinder in the first half, and eve he was better than average.
The second half wasn't the same, but why would it be? We had the game won so long as we did nothing silly, and we knew they would come out of the blocks like a train. It was all them for the first 10 minutes of the second half, until the goal that killed them off. Even then, we could have had 6 or 7 - Carlos' one on one, Carlos' penalty shout, and Kolarov shaving the post with a curling shot on the right hand side.
Absolutely brilliant display. In another thread, some muppet from the Sun is quoted as saying Football wants Fulham to win.
Football has just thoroughly enjoyed itself - performances like ours are why Pele called it The Beautiful Game.

Ive seen it mate, especially in those shiny grey pants. However I resist staring.
Is it me or does he only have one tie?

Completely flat commentary - almost disappointment when we scored 'yet another one'. Continually made reference to Spurs come back etc. Surreal atmosphere - in fact it was so subdued that i thought Tev's 1st goal had been disallowed for some moments afterwords.
Never noticed this before.

This season however we will continue to be inconsistent because we are still gelling and developing. Wolves away will happen a few times again this season. We will also have maybe eight perfect performances like yesterday against certain teams as well. But we need to understand this and still be patient and not expect what happened yesterday to happen every week!!!
And don't forget Fulham were fuckin awful! Hughes got his tactics all wrong. He played four in midfield against our five, and they didn't work hard enough and close down the ball well enough. 4-1 away is a great result and i am chuffed as buns with it, but lets not get carried away and lets not expect too much of them still this season!
