Jamie Vardy

When did Arsenal win the league or last put in a serious challenge for it? I wouldn't go if I was Vardy. Not to Arsenal.

As good as the Leicester story is, it makes sense for Vardy to move to Arsenal. 20 years down the line, which club will talk about more, Arsenal or Leicester? Arsenal ofcourse. At 29, I don't think any big club would come for him after this season. The striker situation at Arsenal is better than other clubs so he should get a look in with proper work rate. The best case scenario would be he is 25-26 and willing to wait out a year to play CL with Leicester and then take a transfer but thats not the case.

Thing is, if a player scores 20+ goals the club obviously wants to keep that player, he is seen as being disloyal to the club if a better deal comes along, if that player scores 4 all season the club are quick to put him up for transfer. There's no loyalty in business! I mean do you think city would be selling Bony if he bagged goals like he did for Swansea? No! So I never blame a player for that sort of decision.

Great move for everyone except arsenal. His value will never be higher so leicester will make a tidy profit and he knows this is his last chance at a big money move. 20 mil for a 29 year old who has just had the season of his life is insane before last season his record was 106 games 26 goals for leicester with only 5 in 34 games in the premier league. His game is based on an amazing work rate and pace which is usually one of the first things to go in a footballer, his style suits counter attacking fast breaking teams meanwhile arsenal like us usually play pocession based football as the teams we play tend to sit back and hit on the counter as a draw would be a good result for them, he would be very useful to any team who are a goal up and are looking to see out the game. I rate him and think he is a solid player who plays to his strongest assets very well but i cant see him being a key player for arsenal or scoring 20 goals a season there think he will get pushed out wide or be mostly used as an impact sub. Hope im wrong as i said i think he is a good footballer and i enjoy watching him as his work rate is second to none which is what i love to see in footballers passion, desire and determination i just think his style doesnt suit the top tier teams.

20 million for a player in his kind of form who probably has another 2 peak performing years ahead of him before moving for a decent fee to LA is solid business.
