Savinho and Nunes have to be sold, no question

As usual, people saying Nunes did well today, obviously forgetting when he received the ball well, ran inwards with the ball and promptly fell over, again! Gave them the ball and we were immediately under pressure.

The bloke is a liability at this level.

Funny thing is that he is actually one of our strongest players. Again, some here will never be satisfied. Sané and mahrez are the best examples
 
Still couple world class players short imo.

Midfield needs more.

Defence may be settled. See how that goes with the two young lads at fb.

Doku on fire to claim the left.

Unless cheeky is gonna step up and mar we need 2 more top quality players.

i can easily see that 5 players leave in the summer

Stones, Ortega, Bernardo deals are expiring

Ake, Kovacic might leave

next transfer window or summer club surely needs to invest in midfielders, new CB's, right back

also needs to check Savinho situation, but i would be more than happy if the spot will be given to Mukasa or Mcaidoo (i hope both would get minutes v Huddersfield)
 
Don’t think we will do much business in January unless the season has imploded. The planning will be for the next summer window in my opinion. The level of players we would want won’t want to move mid season in a World Cup year.

We'd have to move players on in January to sign anyone anyway, and I can't see that happening unless the players with little left on their contracts are starved of minutes
 
The ones to replace IMO are the ones you'd get most abuse suggesting but...

Kovacic (I presume that once back he will be beyond rusty)
Savinho (his spark may be gone and we need a real threat now)
Bernardo (too old gor a wing although OK if kept for CM exclusively)
Lewis (loan - never ever a RB imo)
Dias (if we can get as good but faster)
Stones (too injury prone unfortunately)




Not Nunes for me. Should be playing RW imo or our first substitute for his pace alone.

Stones and Bernardo leave at the end of this summer anyway, so rinse every last drop out of them and show no sentimentality, in terms of extensions, even if the season bears fruit. Kovacic and Ake are the two that we should be looking to offload before their expiration dates. The younger players, Dias included, still have more to give, and we need to see how the season unfolds and what style of play evolves before discarding them.
 
Get me Jarrod Bowen man. One of the best decision in transitions. Great finisher. Can’t get over Bernardo playing RW in 2025
 
Goals from the wing - Semenyo, Yildiz or Barcola

A perpetual engined ball winner for middle of the park - Anderson, Jauregizar or Bouaddi

More backline pace - Lacroix, Quaresma or Araujo

I think Kova would have been gone last summer had he been able to pass a medical.

I think we need to see how Khusanov pans out at RB.

I think Savinho may push again in January if he can't get into the team, especially in a WC year
 
Need to carry on the work of bringing world class prospects in as we cannot afford to sit back as we have done that and it’s absolutely snashed us I mean whoever thought we where good enough to go after the 4 in a row without any real new blood had set us back years . If elite players cone up like Gigi we go out and spend was is required to bring them in as players like nunes Phillips are not winning us titles and the jury is still out on Nico g and Mamoush as they’ve got to g ok up another level aswell .
