Benat or Moutinho ? If we had the choice ?
Benat any day...he's Spanish too and he and Silva linked up well in some of the games I watched them play in..

We should try to sign Lewis Holtby from Schalke. Similar to Gotze but can play deep too, 22 years old and has only 8 months left on his contract. Plus he wouldn't earn more than 70k or 80k.

There is little reason not to sign him up either in Jan for peanuts or on a pre-contract even if at slightly higher wages or a signing bonus.

He's young, versatile. Also German clubs have great facilities and I think they'll continue to produce quality players. Getting an established player might help us in further youth approaches.

He also might qualify as an English player in the squad? This means for another position we won't have to sacrifice on quality and bring in English players just to meet whatever that quota is. I know in other league's with caps on foreign players clubs have gotten away with South American players using dual heritage, I assume this can work in the Prem too.

He is a German International, born in Germany.

English father, German mother - could of chosen to play for England but got capped for Germany.

Yeah I understand that but even with German national caps with his dual citizenship we maybe wouldn't have to list him in our allowed 17 non home grown list. It's similar how in Spain after 2 years South American players get citizenship and no longer count in the non EU quota.

Forget it, for our scouting system Germany doesn't exist on the football map. We've been linked with any player with two legs in the world except he's from Germany. Even newspapers know nobody would believe it.

I thought last summer would sort our issues out but the transfers were dreadful in respect to what we needed.

Europe has showed us we are still in need of-

CB needs to be quick and solid
Midfield attackers / width - to support Silva - ISCO / Jovetic look good and are young
Winger - we need 1 quality winger preferably someone who can also play the AM role - Hazard was perfect, not seen enough of ISCO and Jovetic to know if they can play out wide

Think we are OK up front unless two leave - can wait until summer

I think Falcau will end up at Chelsea, hope not though

There are some great young players in germany - you have to wonder why we don't seem to look there.

Out

Dzeko
Balotelli
Kolo

In

1 x CB
1 x winger
1 x Midfield
1 x Striker

can't see any of those going, sinclair out on loan is more likely

Sinclair can't go anywhere till the summer.

Abroad or championship isn't it? Can't play for more than 2 teams in a season hence why Andy Carroll can only stay at West Ham or return to Liverpool and they can't sell him.

I did suggest him earlier but nobody on here seemed interested <a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=270581" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=10&t=270581</a>

In my humble opinion, we need someone of De Jong's caliber, someone who can anchor the defence, but also go forward and pick a pass. Seems funny now since Nige has gone, we're not as solid at the back when he was here.

I like Felipe Melo and javi Martinez.Just my opinion though,.

His father loves Everton but he'll join a bigger club I'm sure. Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter were watching him many times.

think adam johnson and nigel de jong would be good buys

Especially Adam Johnson. He's just ripping up tree trunks for Sunderland.

Still cant belive we sold De Jong, he was important for Yaya Pushing foward. and he is better than Garcia imo

He was offered a fantastic contract but chose to turn it down, only he will know the reason for this.
