We've gotta bring in a CDM. Look how we collectively shit ourselves when Rodders came off in the CWC?

We'd be crazy to not bring in a replacement, whether Philips goes or not. For the little he's played, he may as well not be here.

We need a CDM who can hit the ground running, so Pahlinha is looking more & more a necessity. André looked amazing in YouTube videos, & against that Egyptian team, buy he was involved in 3 of the 4 goals Fluminense conceded, & to be honest, he looked out of his depth at top European level.

However, he's definitely one for the future, but we need someone to shoulder some of Rodri's burden now, before we break him.
 
Seems like there is a high chance that both Phillips and Gomez will leave this window whether by loan or by being sold. City has a one in one out policy so I trust Txiki to get a suitable replacement in that is versatile and can play multiple positions to provide cover for Rodri and other players when they need rest. In the summer is when we'll go for top players like Paqueta, Wirtz, Joao Neves etc.
