The people who spent the money are happy with a top 6 finish.
So why do some people think it just isn`t good enough?

Because people have always been entitled to have their own opinions about football.

I think we have the players and the squad depth to finish in the top 4. I think we're as good as Liverpool, Arsenal and probably United overall.

What we have is some players bedding in and a manager with no experience at the top.

It's going to come down to whether those two things get sorted. The former is largely dependant on the latter.

I want to agree and maybe on a better day I would but as things stand I'm feeling slightly negative regarding our beloved blues to be honest.

Should we lose Robinho I think we'll genuinely struggle.

I also think that until Hughes grows some balls and picks the best 11 in a suitable shape and makes them play football we'll continue to struggle. Ade isn't a long ball player, Toure doesn't seem to comfortable with it either. Tevez will improve but launching balls at a 4ft player has been proven to be a thankless tactic in the past as I'm sure SWP, Bellamy and Robinho can tell you!

WTF!! people demanding cups, top 4 finishes and champions league already!! granted Hughes has spent alot but the team should take a season to gel, then add players in, in teh weak areas.

We are on schedule, lost only 1 debatable game so far this season and have not played well in the last 6 games, yet still not lost. people expecting world domination already are taking the piss really, you dont demand success, you earn it - and thats what we got to do, unfortunately (for you fickle 1s)

And another thing.Last season he sat a couple of seats down from me on a number of occasions and not once did he tell a joke FFS.

So he goes on a tinpot radio station and basically tries to explain that the majority of City fans are level headed and not how they are depicted in the red tops. Then some come on here , slag him off and act like how they are depicted in the red tops.

yes I want top 4, Yes I want to win a cup...but some perspective, if we finish top 6 and have a good cup run (beyond 1/4s for a change) I'd be happy it's an improvement.

p.s. agree with you as well..........after nearly 30 years of watching city I'm happy just to be talking of 'possibly' finishing top 4 !!
