Just heard Chelsea is looking to unload Essien. Who knows maybe we could provide an environment which would get him back to his own amazing form pre all the injuries. Would this not be more reasonable than Garcia. Can't imagine Chelsea asking for much money anymore.

if injuries had not lessened his effectivity chelsea would not be looking to get rid

Yes ofc but what other alternatives are there. Garcia can't do what Yaya does. The old Essien could. Just a matter of getting him back there. There are plenty of players who got back from such bad injuries.

The effectivity of his effectiveness cannot be underestimated.

Is this lad a Spanish De Jong or would he be more appropriately compared to Barry?

I've never seen him play but he must have more to his game than being "hard as nails"?
