Jay Slater | Inquest begins (P173)

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh here, but she seems to be almost cashing in on his death? Also; "the send-off he deserves"? From what I've read about him, he was far from being a perfect little angel. But, from her point of view, I totally get it. He was her little boy, and could do no wrong.

You’re not being harsh. A mother’s love for her son is unconditional but I imagine she’s a shithouse too.

Inquest started today.
Despite weeks of searching the police cannot find any of the friends he was on holiday with and the guy he hired the air bnb from gave a false address.

Hmmm….

Thats just weird and hoists so many red flags I'd hope the Police are looking at a very different kind of investigation now

The air bnb wasn't hired by Slater, it was hired by the British asian with previous for drug offences who seemed to get very little police scrutiny at the time of the original investigation and search.

The inquest is just a formality really. As far as the Tenerife old bill are concerned it was an accident, case closed. The coroner seems to agree with that too. Getting those scrotes in the coroner's court won't serve no purpose as I doubt any of them would know the truth if it hit them in the face.

The inquest has now finished, and the coroner has decided it was an accidental death.
It definitely doesn't do your health much good if you fall 25 metres down a remote ravine, onto protruding rocks and vegetation.
Apparently his skull was fractured in 2 places, multiple broken bones in his pelvis , and he probably died instantly.
He was a 14 hour walk away from the accomodation he was staying at.
Imagine going away to Tenerife for a holiday, do some drugs and end up dead, miles from anywhere.
As Nancy Reagan used to say -
" Just say NO to drugs" !!

Or stay away from steep ravines.

Only part that didn’t add up to me was that his bag was found 20m above where he was found.

Seems unlikely he fell whilst walking or you’d expect it to be in the same place as him.
