That's a perfect start. Even many people who say they don't like jazz would find that accessible. A huge amount of melody in it. I suppose you know the story behind the making of it?
It occurred to me having spent quite a while composing my longish post and then hitting the send button that people were not necessarily particularly fascinated by my trajectory in listening habits. Especially since it wasn't really the thread topic. Apologies for boring anyone that was bored. I suppose the main point of my post was how you can sort of move from rock and pop to jazz (but there are areas of jazz that remain completely a closed book to me, as well).
