is that one of them posh water features, or a dodgy satelite dish for receiving scandanavian porn?

He actually bought a real Lightening and stuck it on his front lawn.

Clarkson made the point that 90% of the population is white so it would be reflected in most jobs that 90% of employees would also be white.
How about employing the best candiate for the position, regardless of race, creed or gender?

People are wanting more women and under represented ethnic groups in board rooms and senior management jobs. If we start carrying out positive discrimination then people are going to be promoted based on the fact that they are women or from an ethnic background rather than being based on their personal competencies and skills.

I am all for having diversity in senior management and the work place overall but people should be promoted and selected based on their skills and should be the best candidate for the position regardless of gender or race.

If this equality bill goes through under a Labour government then we will see a lot more positive discrimination in the work place.

for positive discrimination to work you have to negatively discriminate against someone else

i agree with
"How about employing the best candiate for the position, regardless of race, creed or gender?"

I know, I am also agreeing with "How about employing the best candidate for the position, regardless of race, creed or gender?"

I am against negative discrimination in order to improve diversity in the workplace.

Since when did I say I was Conservative?

I agree, it is PD that they are placing under represented candidates in safe seats for the next election rather than the 'best' candidate.

since when did I assert you were? You seemed to suggest it was a peculiarly labour policy whereas I illustrated it isn't.
