Hunt and the Conservatives will claim that this is not Austerity 2.0, but they can only do that if the interviewers forget to mention the frightening reality that inflation is running out of control. Businesses will be buying products for 2023 now at prices significantly higher than consumers are currently paying, so if those businesses are to survive, then those costs can only be passed on to the consumer next year, all at a time when Hunt’s spending cuts and tax rises are starting to bite.Basiacally on telly this morning setting us up for Austerity 2.0
