We now have one winger, we have quite a few players that can play out wide, but apart from Grealish none are comfortable out wide, i do expect an arrival out wide this summer if only because of the large sums of money we are making, and no i do not expect it to be Doku, but just how many of our players are as comfortable with both feet as Doku.
Foden Palmer Grealish Berny Mahrez

Romeo Lavia in 2020: 16 year old youth player
Jeremy Doku in 2020: £25m first teamer

We should have bought Leo Messi instead of Gai Assulin in 2010 too…

Also - better than any of our present wingers?
Hahahaha fucking hell. No, he fucking isn’t.
Faster? yes. Better? Ludicrous.
Romeo Lavia in 2020 16 year old for training fee, no where near City`s first team
Jeremy Doku in 2020 18 year old first teamer £25m to Rennes
Both would have been club trained if they had signed and stayed at City, just Doku was a lot closer the first team.
we could not of bought Messi like wise we could not have bought Camavinga, but we could have bought VVD instead of MDM.
also we have only one winger when the Sterling sale goes through, Marhez and while Marez is top quality he is fading, Doku is better. do i expect City to sign him? no, i expect City to go after Leao at over £100m

Rennes are my "second team", having lived in the city for a few years a while back, and I keep up with most of their games. For what it's worth, I don't think Doku is anywhere near our level yet. He's got plenty of potential, yes, but if people get pissed off with Sterling in front of goal, they'd absolutely lose it with the amount of chances Doku wastes. He's also frequently criticised by Rennes fans for his selfish play and lack of teamwork. Doesn't track back a lot or play collectively and still has tons to learn about the game. Not saying he won't improve in the future but he's miles off starting for a club like City at this stage, and for anyone to suggest he's better than our current wingers absolutely blows my mind, to say the least.

One Rennes talent to keep an eye on for the future is Sulemana. I'd say fans are much more excited about him right now than Doku, although Doku's injury troubles have obviously forced him out of the spotlight a little.

nope, while all can play there Marhez is the only one that being a winger is his best position, every time you move someone out of his best position they play below their best
Foden’s best position is wide left or wide right. I’m yet to be particularly impressed with him in midfield compared to his best further forward and wide.

Mahrez fading?

imo far from it.
And why would he ‘fade‘, what is it about his play that you think is becoming reduced?
Note that he relies on skill, not speed. He hones his skills year on year and gets better, and he’s not overly muscled so he only very rarely gets injured.

If you want Pep’s opinion on Mahrez then look to the fact that he’s earning starts in the biggest of games and he’s being offered a new contract while Sterling and Jesus are being sold.

Last 2 seasons
Mahrez: 95 games, 38 goals, 18 assists
Doku: 62 games, 6 goals, 10 assists

Last season
Mahrez: 47 games, 24 goals, 9 assists
Doku: 18 games, 2 goals, 2 assists

Mahrez has just come off his best season of his career and he’s “fading”? Doku is coming off a season where he played just 18 games due to 2 hamstring injuries, 2 knee injuries and a calf injury and he’s “better”?! Dembélé mk 2.

Maybe to suggest he has the potential to be better than Mahrez is reasonable, but to say he’s flat out better is just batshit.
