This sums him up.

Despite performing well in the run-in to the club's relegation battle to the 3rd-tier of English football in 1998, he was guilty of picking up a back pass to concede a free-kick inside the penalty area against Queens Park Rangers. He proceeded to hand the ball to the opposing forward Mike Sheron who then quickly took the free kick, passing to a team-mate who stroked the ball into an unguarded net. This goal later proved to be costly as City were relegated in QPR's stead at the end of the season.

I was at Maine Road against Everton in 1993 when he let in four soft goals in the first half and was subbed at halftime.

Remember that. The Polish winger Robert Warzycha? had an absolute field day as did Peter Beagrie. That cup defeat to Spurs was the start of everything unravelling and the start of next season just reinforced it. Leeds opening home match the following season was one of the most one sided matches I have ever seen. It was a 1-1 hammering.

A very good player. Not afraid to take players on and he does it with great agility and speed too.

Worth every penny to sign him. He will have to work hard to get games but he will be loved by us all. He's probably our next Shaun Wright-Phillips.
