I sincerely doubt he said it at all, and at worst, it is a terrible paraphrase. He probably suggested Bayern was more of a gelled team than City, who (rightly) has had a high number of player turnover over the last 3 years. That is just fact.
As for those reaping him and calliing him a coward for leaving, are your serious? You expect a Fringe German International to give up an opportunity to go start for the biggest team in Germany and most likely cement his place on the german team, just to show heart fighting for a starting spot on on an upstart big team in a different league?
That is laughable. He'd have been a real idiot to turn down the opportunity.
Some of you have to get it into your head that the world does not revolve around City. Shit happens elsewhere you know. Sometimes it just happens a player is not a good fit somewhere, and when such a player is lucky enough to have an opportunity open up somewhere else where he is a better fit, and his chances at international football is greatly improved, he'd be a donkey not to take it.
Well said Dax.
It didn't happen for him at City but we got our money back and he got a good move. Happy days.
I suspect a bit of banter in the interview and hope we stuff 'em tonight to show him that we will leapfrog them into Europe's elite.
This is just common sense. Lord! Some of us are beginning to sound like bloody Arsenal fans. Shame really.
