Jesus Navas - 2016/17 performances

One moment summed him up he was one on one with his fullback and Sterling would have taken him on and whipped in a cross, Navas cuts onto his left and looks for a pass to midfield.

Offered little but still didn't deserve to go off when he did, says it all about the rest of 'em.

He's not a terrible player that a lot make out, he's fast, has a good touch & is good in possession. The problem is he's a forward, and has next to no end product; which makes him very limited.

He's just an example of a few who are decent enough players, but we need to upgrade on. Whenever we rest players & bring on our "decent backups" we usually become pretty toothless - you can look at our lineup with 2-3 fringe players added & suddenly we look like we'll struggle to score or create; that's definitely an area we need to improve.

The guys done a job for us over the years, and was a cheap buy, but clearly he'll be off this summer.

He is the slowest, fast player I have ever seen.

I thought he was alright tbh, just nothing for a player like him to do if we aren't going to get anyone in the box. We know what sort of player he is, we know he's going to put in crosses, yet no one bothers making a run. Makes no sense, it's like the team just doesn't bother noticing he's not Sterling. He put in a couple of very threatening crosses that Aguero tried his best to get to, but we're never going to win that, but what else is there for him to go for if the midfield make no attempt to get up in support?

Completely unsuited to the way we play and not helped at all by our other players lack of attempt to make it work. He's never going to be the player arriving at the far post to knock it in, or cut inside and shoot, so expecting that of him is madness, but to play him and then not even attempt to adapt to him makes you wonder why on earth yo've bothered picking him at all?

He should go to someone like Swansea, put in the same crosses he did today and probably walk away with a couple of assists and people talking about how good the balls were for Llorente to head in, as he is pointless here

Brahim should start ahead of navas. People will disagree but he would create and score more than navas does. Annoys me seeing him in the line up.

Brahim couldn't do any worse than Navas. Just look at this guys record, 100+ games, a handful of goals in the most attacking, highest scoring team in the league over that period. It's fucking sickening that a right winger/forward in this City side can have stats like that.
