Agree. Great attitude, wish more had the same

His speedy Speedy Gonzales/Roadrunner approach to defending makes up for his positional short comings as a full back. Whether that could still be coached, I don't know.

I did call out "meep, meep" at the Southampton game

Extending him for 1-2 seasons sounds fine for me. We aren't going to buy 2 rbs in one window anyway, are we?

He'll be off surely, accepting a 1 or 2 year deal (if we offered one, which i doubt we will) with us to sit on the bench doesn't make much sense when you could take a 3 year contract at a club like Roma or back home at Sevilla.

Someone who's played more than four games as a defender never lets that ball get to Monreal, but I guess that's not really his fault he was put in that position, again. Don't think he completed a cross, either. Not a good player at all.

I've never been his greatest fan, but given who he was up against today, out of position, he had a very good game for me.

He is giving it his all and as you say he put in a great cross,he does actually put in a few that no-one is getting of the end of,he misses alf in the box
