Jesus Navas last game tonight

Was brilliant in that first season and scored the goal that settled the 2014 League Cup final. Was a very honest player who worked hard despite his limitations.

I liked Jesús Navas. He was fucking quick. Possibly the fastest player I’ve seen in a Blue shirt. Unfortunately, we missed the goal against Spurs, as we were in America at the time.

Something that hasn’t been mentioned; he scored in the Big Willy penalty shootout against Littlewoods.

I wish him all the best in his retirement.

The one weird thing about him was his conversion from winger to full back - which was an amazing success.

Fastest City player? Has to be (for me) David White.

A long line of very decent City players have been the subject of the know-nowt fans over the years. Very odd ‘support’.

But it’s not just modern fans.

Richard Edghill received all sorts of abuse from sections of the City support around the turn of the century.

And going back to the late '60s/early '70s, Ian Bowyer was another target for the boo boys.

Remember him scoring against Spurs after about 10 seconds. I'd just put my pint down and walked onto the stand, looking at the goal just as it went in. Think we won 6-0.

It was 6-0. One of our best performances of the season, we blew Spuds away. Navas got the last goal too.
