Can never understand the honour system, especially for sports people, they are just getting the award for something they get paid to do.If they have to dish some out unpaid charity workers would get my vote

It's the same for politicians and civil servants - services to politics, services to the jobs for which they have been well paid, and the showbusiness folk who are 'honoured' for their services to charity, which often amounts to an appearance on a celebrity quiz game.

Good comparison with Yaya. Saw my first City Women match against the Scouse (in Widnes !) in 2014 and she was a warrior. Really upped my opinion on the women's game.
