Got the box set some where. It was called the street. 6 part series, each episode involved a story around one of the houses (and the people who lived there). This was one of the episodes you refer too. Can't remember the details but it was to do with self loathing for some reason, so he went out of his way to aggravate the united fans so he would be given a good hiding, and it worked :). He got done over in the gents.
