Is Jim still at club? If so then what's his role?

Last I heard of him is that Hughes sent him to head up the soccer schools and academy in Abu Dhabi and there were a lot of people unhappy about it.

Jim was looking to retire and when the Sheik took over he told Khaldoon that it was an opportune moment to hand over Khaldoon offered him a role as head of international operations setting up satellite Academies according to Jim it was too good an offer to refuse and as far as I am aware that is his role

I was speaking to jim last summer when I was working at Platt Lane. I asked him how his promotion was and he said I wouldnt call it a promotion, more of a sideways step. They way he was talking about it, he didnt really have a choice but to accept the new position. He wanted to stay with the youth team.

Heard from someone who was close to the youth squad that the kids never forgave Hughes for sacking Cassell and they hated Hughes because he never took the time to learn any of their names and never showed any intrest in the youth squad, Was told a few months ago that ever since Mancini has come in they seem a lot happier now and that Mancini is always talking to and giving advice to the young lads and tends to watch them play as well.
