Nobody said it does? I was (attempting) to point out that the rapid shift in demographics of the country are why we get statements like the one we did from Ratcliffe and why the parties to the right are on the rise and reform (thanks
@M18CTID, no I can't read!) are favourites for the next GE.
Multiculturalism and diversity is a strength. But I also don't think it's right that in England, we see schools where there are no white/white British children. Multiculturalism works both ways. Can you tell me the positives of having exclusively black or exclusively Asian school populations and how that helps multiculturalism as to me it will create more of a divide much like when I went to school in North Manchester in the 90s. There were no Asian or British Asian children in my year and hardly any in the school at all. I would guess that my year group was made up of 90% white British children and the other 10% was white/mixed Carribbean. It is a fact that I would have benefitted from having a more ethnically diverse class and classmates as I would have learned more about different cultures at a much younger age. Much like I did learn from my mates who are from a mixed Carribbean background.
