Tales of Blue caught up former City midfielder Jim Whitley to share his City story.
A real cracking fella who loved his time at Maine Road and talks about Andy Morrison's impact during the 98/99 campaign, Bryan Robson's assault on him during a reserve team fixture and the influence Willie Donachie had at City plus much more.

Watched Jim at Nidd Hall last Xmas he was playing as Sammy Davies Jnr (Rat Pack) he was amazing, boy can be tap dance.

When we played the Rags at Wembley in the semi final. I needed a ticket after donating mine to my sons mate( he just got out of hospital ) Jim's mates were selling tickets at £200+ he got me one for £50. Then YAYA did his magic great day out. CTID

Always got confused by Jim and his brother Geoff (?) Both part of that amazing side Of Royles who gave some of our most magical days watching City. Loved that team such a band of brothers and have never known a time when the team and the fans were closer. Think the Whitleys were Northern Irelands first black internationals a great time to be a blue.
