With all the whinging from David Moyes in relation to how bad our approach for Lescott has been, why have we not said at any stage, either you play ball or we will demand that Jo returns and sits getting splinters ?

We seem to be letting Moyes spout all of his rubbish (I think he is odds on to be at Old Trafford next) yet we never use the fact that Jo is there to our advantage !

i dont think we can recall him... but loaning them jo is almost an advantage for us... i id you not he will score unde 8 goals this campaign

He's signed for a season long loan. He's never coming back anyway !

I know he's on loan for the season, but is there no provision to call him back like a standard loan player ?

I'd just like to see us giving Moyes some of his own medicine....I'd certainly steer clear of loaning him any more players. Just out of spite, I'd let it be known in the media that we like both Cahill and Arteta. That would give him something to whinge about!

Knowing city we probably fucked up with not putting in a "Can recall" clause in the contract. I bet it's the same bloke who will make joe hart MOM when we play against brum.

The rules have changed and they have to sign up for the season, we can't recall him.

Im sorry but to mention Jo at this stage or even worse have him return to the squad is unbelievably stupid. First of all its unprofessional to the highest degree and strengthens any kind of angle Moyes could throw at us about making a bad approach for Lescott if we take back Jo out of spite. Second of all, whether you like it or not, you cannot blame Moyes for the attitude he has right now. We are trying to buy one of their best players; he's not going to stand with his hands tied behind his back and say, "sure take Lescott I don't mind" is he? Thirdly, and in some ways I find this the most important, you should not mess with a players career like this. It is not fair on Jo to be tossed around like a rag doll, he's getting first team football, something he wouldn't get at coms, its not fair on the lad. I just don't think you should mess with a young players career like this out of spite. It would be different if he was involved in a deal that was a player plus cash offer. But it was a separate transfer altogether. So just leave it at that. City have done nothing wrong in the way they are handling business so I see no reason to act childish over this matter. We'll get our man it just takes time.

not only impossible but pointless

moyes may feel the need to act spitefully, but what purpose would it serve us? would it disrupt Everton that much? Would having him back here be any good for us? Would it help us get Lescott?

all the correct answers are negative, btw.

moyes is making a fine mess out of the situation, all on his own.

1. We can't recall him.
2. Even if we could, it would be an incredibly childish and spiteful thing to do. Not really the kind of reputation we're trying to build.

The best thing we should all hope for is that Jo is a major success at Everton and becomes a big hot with the fans. Then next summer we sell him to a club we are able to do business with and that list is unlikely to include Everton.

under premier league rules neither joe hart nor jo can play against city this season.

what I don't understand is why we did not use Jo as a bargining chip for the lescott deal - surely it would have strengthened our cause to have offered say £18M + Jo as a deal. That why Moyes could have saved face by saying it was a swap deal valuing Lescott at c.£36M and we would have got lesocott and rid of Jo for good.

After Saturday Everton would probably owe us money!

Well said.

I hope we will sell him to everton.

No matter how this Lescott saga ends, just show that we're above the silly banter and calling names that Moyes has gone down to.

Thats not true. Blackburn have signed Di Santo on loan from Chelsea until January and he has a recall clause in that loan contract.
