Jo Cox (MP) RIP.

Shocking news. From what little I've learnt in the past 36 hours, she seemed to be one of the better politicians and it's difficult to comprehend why someone would do such a thing.

Has there been any further news about the rumours surrounding the mental state of the suspect? While I don't think it should be used as an excuse, having extremist views coupled with being mentally unstable is not a good combination.

Thankfully psychotic extremists like him in Britain can't get hold of rapid fire assault weapons. extremism seems to be becoming more and more common in western politics since the GFC

I think the police should have shot him. Having to use our taxes to pay for this creature's incarceration grates. Not to mention the legal costs.
