Mental fortitude and positivity is a huge part of Pep's trust. Go back to when Ake was 2nd choice behind Laporte for a couple of seasons.. he thought about moving.. the deal was done but he decided to stay and Pep showered him with praise about how positive he was on the bench with his attitude. Then the moons aligned with Laporte's injury and he got a lot more games.
