Handed in a CV to the Citystore in town last week for at least the 15th time, 20minutes later got a call back asking me to attend an interview on Thursday, very excited about it and hope I get it as it would be brilliant part time until I go back to college and then to carry on with it from there, anybody got any tips I have a lot of experience but not so much with interviews and also I wasn't told to dress formal or not so I'm wondering what to wear? P.s sorry if this is in the wrong forum didn't know quite where to put it.

Jeans and a casual top always go down well!!! :-)

F.F.Sake mate. First impressions. Suited and booted. You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression. Good luck mate

Re: Job interview at City

Just turn up in a City kit holding a homemade Premier League trophy.

"When can you start?"

Re: Job interview at City

If it doesn't say what to wear, you're better off heading down the shirt and shoes route than jeans and trainers ;) good luck with it though

Re: Job interview at City

Best bet is t-shirt, shorts, socks and sandals.

If not then full City kit with shin-pads, boots and your own name on the back of the shirt.

Re: Job interview at City

Be as confident and relaxed as possible while watching your P's and Q's and being on your very best behaviour. Depending on the weather you could possibly get away with shirt, trousers, shoes and tie, but there's no harm in wearing a jacket - it would be far worse feeling under-dressed than over-dressed.
If possible do some reasearch into that side of the club before you go so you look keen and then just do your best.
At interviews you can't control how good the other people going for the position are, so give a good account of yourself and hope they are suitably impressed.
(Ps. I've failed to get jobs before, but once I've got to the interview stage, I've always got it! Not 100% sure how?!)

Tell them you've been on Britians Got Talent and you made the centre circle during the pitch invasion.

Re: Job interview at City

When they ask you who in life you most admire, the answer isn't Rio Ferdinand.

Better to dress formally, you are always forgiven for dressing up when you should have dressed casual, but not always the other way round.

be relaxed and listen, and when they ask a question, answer it, sounds obvious, but you'd be amazed the number of people who reply to questions but don't answers them.
