... for next season. Would love to keep my ticket but the basic fact is not having any sort of job is never a good idea. Current situation means that I'd have to work weekends, therefore missing the majority of matches. In a dilemma here blues, help us out!

This is easy mate. Why do you work? I am assuming its so you can get money to do the things you want in life. So if you can do the things you want in life then carry on. If not, pay for a season ticket and fuck it off and find a new one!

I posted in another thread that I regret missing the 1-6 at the swamp coz i had a training course in Abu Dhabi for 3 months. Abu Dhabi is gorgeous, as is Dubai, as is Muscat, Bahrain being a bit of a dive (think Rusholme with palm trees!).

My advice is that you work to live, not live to work matey.

If you have an unlimited broadband connection; on the weekends I would avoid knowing the score and when you get home from work download the matches to watch in full. This means you might as well give up your season ticket. And it's not the same thing as going to the match I know, but it's not a bad substitute whilst you look for another job.

Alternatively; our kid works in retail and has a deal which means he can have every Sunday off so long as he works so many Sunday's per year. Now that we play a lot of matches on a Sunday, it works out quite well. Can you not negotiate?
