Joe Cole anyone? [Merged]

Re: Joe Cole anyone?

Great player, a real shame that injuries are restricting his potential. If Joe Cole got a solid pre season behind him and went a whole season injury free he's good enough to win player of the season (anyone can if Grandad Giggs can, but you know what I mean) It's sad for English football that a potential match winner has such a bad time with injuries. Doubt he'd leave Chelsea though, once fit he'll have a real point to prove there.

Re: Joe Cole anyone?

If we signed him he'd be backup to Ireland and I'm sure he won't want that.

No he would be back-up for Robinho on the left side. Mind you, if he brings his bird with him, things will be looking up around town. She is a cracker.

Joe Cole on the left just doesn't work for me. He's the most one footed player I have ever seen, has to cut inside every time which makes him much easier to defend against. He doesn't have the pace of Robinho either. Plus he's injury prone. Would be a bad signing who we'd get very little return on and would not improve our first team.

Re: Joe Cole anyone?

great player, will never forget that volley he scored in the WC, was goal of the tourny for me. In all honesty he's a londoner through and through, cant see him moving tut north. Plus, I doubt he's on 'the list'.

I think england have missed him, shrek is much better in the centre.

Don't be surprised if we go for a left mid/winger in the window.
I was told in May that one of our targets was yuri zhirkov and that tells me that we're looking to add in that position.
Chelsea are favourites to land him but i doubt it would stop us looking elsewhere?

This will also see the end for Petrov....
