Joe Hart and Fernando blunder analysis,

its game management use the 90mins to slow it down. after we scored we should have took the heat out of them and just keep it and play the European game roll over at any chance fake injury take your time at throw ins corners dead balls even get the ball boys to slow it down with the ball coming back or get a 2nd ball on the pitch every dirty trick in the book we should use they will do to us so we should stop being English and give it back

we are getting there but the little bits that are all part of the European game are still catching us out but we are still in the cup and if lessons are learnt and we can have the tie in our hands that's a bonus but the 2nd leg is not going to be a walk in the park

The answer is simple - PSG wore navy shirts - Joe did not see Ibra - a cock up follows.
I blame PSG for wearing Navy blue shirts - their players become ghosts against the backdrop of the crowd.............Boooooooooooooo!

Fernando doesn't need to take a touch Ibra is nowhere near him , all he has to do is turn his body and pass first time the way Joe is pointing to Sagna, Cavani isn't pressing Sagna, he is almost turning away as Hart passes to Fernando.. Should Hart have played it long possibly, but when he gets criticised for not playing it shorter maybe it's because he can't trust the players around him to do what should be simple for champions league quarter final players and what Guardiola will expect his players to be able to do.

joe was at fault to start with, hes looking right infront of him he must of seen the best player in the world a few yrds away he should of put the ball up field

I'm of the view we should move on. It was indeed a clusterfcuk with knobs on but both lads contributed plenty of good stuff last night.

Eli had the right idea. A classy touch from him to console his team-mate.

It is poor game management we are 1-0 up 3 mins till half-time all the players should be thinking of taking the sting out of the game and get to half-time with our lead intact. if we do that things could be very different. The key should be not to lose possession in our own half and put ourselves under pressure. Joe quite often will play a dodgy ball out to our back 4 where the only option the defender has is to return the ball to Joe for him to launch it upfield. I know Fernando fucked up but that came from Joe's poor initial decision. If we want to progress in this competition we have to learn to cut out needless mistakes. Take risks in the attacking 3rd not in our own half. If we had got to half-time in front things could have been so much different instead of them ending the 1st half and starting the 2nd with their tails up.

We had three opposing players pressing high against our players. When this happens Hart usually signals to the players he will take a long kick. Why he didn't last night is beyond me. Appalling game play and very costly. His distribution continues to be poor as does his decision to continually punch the ball away which led to the penalty.

I blame Hart here. There's a time and a place for playing from the back. We've just scored and 3 mins before half time is not the time. He has done it a few times before and gotten away with it.

Craig Burley- normally a moron- summed it up perfectly on espn saying it was Harts fault. Plus our heads went after it. Hopefully it's a lesson learnt and won't cost us.

It started with hart so it's his mistake. So close to half time, Why risk such a pass?
when he saw Ibra closing fernando down why didn't he scream at him to pass it back instead of pointing.

Also at fault for conceding the pen. Moments before a simple catch was on yet he chose to punch.
Needs to stop making silly mistakes.

Midfield player on edge of box receives pass which he cocks up. Goal. Now the reason why a midfield player is on the edge of the box is to receive the ball to initiate movement up the pitch otherwise why is he there? Given that he is there to receive the ball he should be ready for the ball. He wasn't or took his eye off it or whatever. The mistake lies with Fernando.

Absolutely spot on

Clearly Fernando's fault. All Joe did was pass him the ball. Surely you have to have belief in your teammates' ability to control a ball properly at is level?

Otamendi is telling hart to clear it upfield, so clear it up the flippin field it's easy
