City's presence at the airport is about nil.
There's a huge mural for Turkish Airlines featuring a load of rag players on the walk to the Etihad gate and a picture of the swamp in a Welcome to Manchester poster when you arrive. The marketing people should be doing something about this.
FYI, Nigel de Jong travels everywhere by microlight which he pilots himself whilst bollock naked. This man doesn't recogonise wind, rain or cold.

Talking of airports: (I didn't think this worthy of a thread on its own) but on flying out of Brum airport I noticed official City Merchandise for sale in the duty free. Now that is a first and really a sign of where we are now. Only a little thing I know but a real sign.

Apparently De Jong doesnt travel 1st class either...he sits on the wing and waves at everyone.

my kinda guy. the exit row (usually that 'wing' seat) is po' folks' first-class. plenty of leg room and you sit across from the flight attendants (a bonus if they're hot).
i like these anecdotes wherein footballers whose play i like seem likable Nigel and Hart are two of my favs. don't get me wrong if we can't get any value for Tevez and he keeps playing his heart out i'll continue to accept him as one of God's own, but he really doesn't seem like the sort of person i'd like to have a beer with. Hart and big Nige, on the other hand...
