My wife cried when her rabbit broke down as well.

Turns out it just needed batteries.
It's funny because when I told my 9 year old he was going he said, "thank fuck, he can't kick for toffee..."

*this didn't really happen, keep those pitchforks holstered*

Vinny is going nowhere. Man bleeds blue

I think the same would've been said of Hart. The point isn't that Vinny's not committed to the club, it's whether he is in Pep's long term plans. I think we have to also start looking at some of these situations from the players' point of view. Vinny, Hart, Toure, Mangala, Bony - these are all international players with big profiles in the world of football. They are only useful to Pep if they are going to be playing regularly, and if they're not going to be playing regularly then they should probably move on.

It may sound like a dispassionate view but it's the kind of view that Pep is clearly taking. His comments about Vinny in his opening press conference said it all. For the moment he's not counting on the guy and as far as he's concerned he's not been fit for two years. Club captain or not he's got a fight on his hands because if the defence is settled and performing when he's fit again he won't get in the team.

You say that but Pep does like to rotate heavily.

Sevilla will be a good option for Joe . Champs league, would a good experience I reckon. For a change he would be lauded as well, since English players are so comfy in England and don't go to Europe

I hope they have an 8 foot tall striker

Agreed, but if he's settled on what his 'best' partnership is and it doesn't include Vinny what do you do with the club captain/country captain earning 200k a week plus who's only going to be playing maybe 15/20 games max over the course of the season?

I'm not saying this will definitely happen, maybe Vinny comes back and kills it in training and remains fit. But my gut feeling from Pep's press conference and the way we've shaped the team is that Stones will be the first choice right sided CB, with Vinny only really coming in to deputise for him when he's injured or needs a rest. That's only sustainable for one season.
