They have all known for at least 7 months that Pep was coming, yet some of our players, professionals that they are, haven't even been able to keep in shape, while others still thought they could go against the manager and find support.

Nail on the head, personally think after getting Mancini sacked & having an easy ride under Pellegrini some players have become complacement and carried away with their own self importance. It needed a good shake up & we'll be much, much better for it. All about the team & work ethic now, if you don't conform out you go!!!!

So only carragher has had the bottle to say it how it is

Why did he not work on his game knowing pep was coming! That's 3 managers in a row that have had doubts. I really like joe (city ledge IMO) and he is a top keeper but I think he's been asking for a boot up the arse. He's got away with errors for too long. As mentioned drop your wages if you really want to play. I'd like to see him show a bit of fight and battle for the position.

I think Pellegrini wanted Caballero as his no.1 but had to back down due to politics and Harts standing/influence at the club.

I could see a couple of clubs making offers to him before deadline day, but maybe lesser clubs. He'll have to weigh up it up. Bravo is 33. He's relatively young. It must be possible for hart to improve his ability on the ball. There's no imminent Euros or World Cup so he could take the long term view. As long as he is being treated fairly at City, which I am sure he is, I think there's a good chance he'll stay and work on his game. he could of course still do that on loan, but I reckon it would be better to do that at City with our goalkeeping coach. Other clubs are going to have their own systems and priorities. they aren't going to allow Joe to spend much time working in training on what he wants to do to become useful for City.

He would need plenty of game time if he really is going to improve his weaknesses. I don't think it can be done just in training. There aren't usually that many playing opportunities for a 2nd choice keeper (never mind 3rd choice). Even if he thinks he can have a future at City he would probably need to go out on loan at a club where he would be encouraged to play the ball.

How many more times are you going to post this?

He's gone and that's even if he makes an appearance tonight, you seriously think the club will bring Bravo in and let him be overshadowed by Hart sitting on the bench with the press' camera's ready to pan to him every time Bravo makes any little error?

Not happening.

If he's out on loan he'll be playing for a team who may want him to kick it long most of the time, which is the majority of the teams in the prem, so he ain't going to have time to sharpen his footballing skills, and to be frank he should have been doing that for the past 5 years.

What if Hart refuses to leave? Looks like thats what the media scums want. So they hv season-long drama & tabloid. What does Hart want? Surely he should prefer playing time than allow this reality-show to case a shadow all year at City?

if he refuses to leave then he just wont play mate! pep has made his feelings known and they aint gonna change!

Pep appears to be a very strong leader. I understand his success but his strength with the media and his decisiveness has still surprised me a little.

Regarding Joe, we are all speculating. It may well be that Pep has only made a decision on Joe very recently. Arsenal game, behind the scenes, dressing room atmosphere or willingness to adapt could all be factors. It doesn't matter: Joe has been a great player but we have to be behind Pep. We could all see that some players were coasting. I never felt that of Joe but he certainly has not been challenged in his status at the club for many years. It may only be a matter of weeks before supporters of Joe realise that Bravo has helped to deliver a style of play that Joe could not, or wasn't willing to. Time will tell but Pep must be in charge.

Just read this. Has some stats in comparing Hart and Bravo. Seems perhaps Joe didn't see the writing on the wall re his short passing game, once he knew Pep was coming. Maybe Pep wanted time to see/work with Joe before making final decision, which is why Joe feels he is being rushed out.

Hart furious with City after being left in the dark about his future http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...furious-Manchester-City-left-dark-future.html

All this nonsense about how Joe should have been told earlier is just that - nonsense. The only thing that matters here is Manchester City.

It's not like he's been made redundant. He's still getting paid £125k a week and will continue to do so for as long as he stays at the club.

Maybe Bravo wasn't available earlier in the summer (he was going to be No. 1 at Barca again until Ter Stegen started kicking up a fuss). Maybe Pep thought he could work with Joe and then soon realised it was a lost cause. Whatever it was, circumstances changed.

This is nothing new. It happens all the time in football and it shows a certain arrogance that Hart believes he should have been treated any differently to the thousands of other football club EMPLOYEES who've had exactly the same thing happen to them over the years.

City need him until they decide they no longer need him. That's the way it's always been in football and always will be; Hart's personal feelings and long-term plans really don't come into it.
