It's all about opinion and I'm fine with yours. Judging by the howls of derision from many around me in block 301 when missing sitters, Id say he's been poor, but I hear what you're saying and perhaps he will become a good player for another team. I hope so as I nothing against Bony. It's just not worked out for him at City.

Bony is not shite but, for whatever reasons, he has struggled at City.

Respect the loyalty but Joe Hart is not and will never be world class. Bravo is a better keep so if we are trying to be better then this is an easy decision.

OB1. You don't sit too far from me at games. When he misses a sitter I never hear any blues say "Bony, you're struggling at City"... I've heard "Bony, you're f-----g shite" plenty of times. A natural expression at a footy match to a bobbins player. Kippax used to be full of howls of derision. Mind you, we had plenty to moan about back in the day mate.

PS. Answer the PM I sent you.

Great post.
Although some om here think Joe's an average keeper, he isn't, he's a very good keeper..The issue isn't his keeping ability it's his ability to play as a sweeper keeper.
I'm actually pretty sure he could do this given time. But Pep and Joe haven't got time. Pep can't wait 6 months - we will loose too many points against good sides. Joe can't be out of the first team or his England place is under threat.
You make some great points there.

Because those stats are pretty much pointless taken in isolation. Clean sheet stats aren't just an indication of a goalkeepers shot stopping ability but also that of the whole team's ability to defend. Those stats could equally be interpreted as England having a better defence than Germany. An all out attacking team is likely to concede more than a more cautious team etc. There are more factors at play than just the goal keeper with those stats.

Anyway nobody (that I know of at least) is saying that Hart isn't a decent shot stopper. It is his suitability for the role that Guardiola wants him to play that is at question and that is the reason that he is most likely on his way out.
Cheers, Pep can put together the pieces of his team as he sees fit. I would agree that Pep doesn't see Joe as a sweeper keeper. They're a rare breed. Courtois, Butland, Forster, and Schmeichel (despite his long kicking ability) are not sweeper keepers either.

Been making the same mistakes for too long, dunno if its complacency but knowing Pep was incoming for sometime he had the chance to work on his feet & perhaps create a good 1st impression with Pep. Lets not forget that Pellegrini fancied Caballero as his no.1 and I'm pretty sure Hart's standing at the club with people like Khaldoon put pressure on Pellegrini to stick with him as the recognised no.1.... He's had some great moments for us but at some games I've been tearing my hair out while he repeatedly lumps the ball up the field straight to the opposition... In the pre-season friendly vs Arsenal he couldn't resist a few punts up the field & that may well have been the final straw for Pep realising that Hart will not tow the line!! Who knows whether it was insubbordination on Hart's part or because he's been lumping the ball for so long that he can't help himself, I fancy it was Hart attempting to throw his weight around .... If it was, it was a BIG mistake!!!!

I realise it's today but wondered if it was a club video. Just thinking Pep might start to find the cameras a bit intrusive.
No. Open media session. Nothing he or the club can do about it. Always the same the day before a CL game.
