I was replying to the 'not as good as Given yet' bit. I think that his overall game has superceded Given's (coming for the ball and quick distribution), and at the moment keepers such as Reina and VdS are behind him at this point in the season.

I know we had to pick Joe or risk losing him, it's just on his present (and last seasons) form I can't see why I need to depressed.

He seems to have gained the experience to release the ball quickly and to come for crosses. That'll do for me.
