Joe Hart

That sounds such a low wage in comparison to present premier league salaries you hear being bandied about.
But, £15k/week = £780,000 p.a. Perhaps a signing on fee too? So, nice work if you can get it.
Good luck to him - a good guy as far as I'm concerned, served us very well and was the nation's number 1 for quite a long time.

As would I. My point is though, shirley Celtic would be better paying 2 young up and coming keepers 7.5 each and see how they go and if one comes good pay him the full wage. Joe Hart is yesterday's player

still good enough to do a job up there I would imagine. Kept himself fit and has taken a 35k a week pay cut by all accounts. Fair play to him.

I keep myself fit. Ive been off for 12 days and Ive run 6 miles a day for all of them (before the pub mind), but it doesnt mean Im as good at rugby as I was. He is old news, and for that money - which is fuck all by football standards, they should be paying it to kids and getting them underway. Is my point anyway.

City get rid of young keepers every season but signed Carson on more than that this season, the you up an coming goalie.

I think you know, and I know, and I know that you know, signing Carson is a tactical manoeuvre
I reckon Hart is the same bar the quota situation, he will be mentoring the others and pushing them, especially Barkas they paid decent money for and is out of sorts. A bit like when Liverpool signed Brad Friedel to push David James.

No. I think it's lazy sports directorship and a known name to put on a depleted squad list. If you think a well past it Joe Hart will enjoy playing Queen Of The South in minus 6 in February while mentoring a kid who really wants to do it for half his wages, well good on you.

Hart is a mystery, maybe one day it will come out what really went wrong with his career. How did he go from one of the best keepers in the world to struggling to find a club? Remember Richard Wright at Ipswich? A similar thing happened to him.
