Shame it's going so badly for him, first saw him play for City v Jamaica when he as about 18, shared the game with Kaspar and it was clear then he was a very good prospect, and he lived up to that promise with us for a good few years
 
Burnley announcing they’re next extended his contract. Such a shame to see the huge drop off in his career since leaving us. 33 years old can’t see him getting another Prem move. MLS maybe?
 
Yeah, an integral part of our rise to success. Don't know what happened with him, really. Pep obviously didn't have him in his plans, maybe Joe's confidence was shot after that?

He'll always be a City legend, big Joe - like his namesake Corrigan: part of the family.
 
Only 33 should still have several years playing time if looks after himself. Sad to see how his career declined. Hart was a big part of our success under Mancini and Pellegrini and should be remembered for that, and some incredible individual performances. Keepers roles have changed over the last few years with the advent of the sweeper keeper, maybe Joe didnt or couldnt adapt to suit. Hope he gets a deal somewhere decent.

I remember first game I saw him was Bristol City away in league Cup and even in the warm up you could see he had something about him. Shame his career has nosedive. Is it a gambling problem as I've heard so many rumours?
 
Can they pay him against us tommorow he might help us get our goal tally up as a fuck you.

Hadn't heard that tbh, but there are always rumours, rarely are they accurate :)
 
Keeper with European experience will be wanted.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sheffield United go for him when they have to give Henderson back.
 
Good luck Joe, you were a great asset for us and deserve only the best. I hope your media career takes off. Go and join our Micah with the BBC :-) The two of you together would be better than that prat Jermaine Jenas.

I've still got the video of me presenting him with a Player of the month award at Carrington. What a lovely young man he was and so easy to chat to. All the very best and good luck.

My abiding memory of Joe however will always be that run with arms outstretched and then the hug between him and Gael Clichy at the end with Clichy in tears! Brilliant, never fails to get me emotional.

Rumours and innuendo haven't helped him have they?
