Joe Hart

Nobody knows Better than Pep and 20 trophies in 10 years says he did a lot of things right
Joe Hart was not the sweeper-keeper Pep wanted, but Joe was an amazing keeper and won us so many games single-handedly. Pep doesn't need to regret wanting his style of keeper. Joe himself understood Pep's choice

I've heard Vinny played a big part in Mancini leaving
To be fair, he probably acted as captain of the group. It was by all accounts a very hostile environment, even when we won the title. Aguero, Yaya and maybe Richards seems to be okay with Mancini still but largely the group had turned against him

I can see Vinny having the right of it to be fair. Mancini was a spiky character, sometimes those types burn out after a couple of years because they've pissed everyone off and everyone's eyes start to glaze over when a rant starts.

decision 1
Get rid of Hart before he does what he did to Roberto

That was no mistake and Pep won me over

I remember one of the very first games Pep managed in pre season. Hart was in net, he had the ball in his hands and a quick short pass on to a defender, he chose to boot it aimlessly out of play. The camera went to Pep who looked fucking disgusted. Don't think he played another match for City.

He was absolutely right. I thought Hart was bobbins and his career after leaving City says it all. Mancini and Pellegrini were right to drop him aswell. The great games against Barca, Spurs and Dortmund seem to have lived more in the collective memories of City fans than his numerous fuck ups and deficiencies.

Bravo ended up being a flop as first choice but Eddy was 10 times the keeper.

Arsenal in pre season friendly, he played his last game against Stuna Bucaresti ( second leg ) 3 0

Good memory that, didn't we hit them for 8 in the first leg of that, I imagine Hart was part of heavy rotation.

We were mint in that game, I'm surprised the first Pep season was so difficult at points, thought we'd walk the League after that tie.

Beat them 5 0 away and 3 0 at home so you where right with the 8 ha ha , we where magical in the first leg and I thought the same

Regards Hart fair play to Pep he let him get a send off and that game was delayed 24 hours due to rain ( I think )

I interviewed Joe last year for an online City fanzine and speak to him regularly. Earlier this week infact about our 2 cup wins which he agreed was massive in a difficult season. In the interview we spoke at length about his whole career. Lots of interesting things abut City and let me tell you he is absolutely 100% committed to supporting us. Im not sure that many people actually read it which is a damn shame.

It's available to buy from Noel's Facebook page at £3 to download if anybody is interested. Just mention which copy you want as there are about 10 issues so far where we have interviewed ex players.

It's huge credit to Joe the way he handled it and now talks about it. Lesser cunts have left here and have had something to say. No one better on his day.

I think how Joe has handled himself in the intervening years has probably played a part in what Pep has said. He possibly sees someone who at the time was probably a risk to have in the dressing room but who has shown sides of his character in subsequent years that makes Pep wonder if he might have been able to get into him and coach him and I don't mean simply to be better with his feet.

It's all water under the bridge now, but it's to Pep's credit that he's said it and to Joe's credit that Pep felt the need to say it.

I still can’t believe to this day how he fucked off Hart in a breath ( no arguments)and in his last season brought in Rodney Crouch in who can’t kick or pass either , weird
I don’t agree that bringing in Gigi was a mistake.

He has made some absolutely breathtaking saves this season, in particular, I remember the one against the swamp dwellers that preserved our 1-0 lead (I think)mand the one at Klanfield, when it was still 0-0 (again, I think).

I"m not sure Trafford - or any other ‘keeper - would have made those saves.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion mate ,not for me yes he is great at shot stopping but in every other department I think he is nowhere near good enough ,I can’t get my round how shit he is with his feet and Enrique is no mug and he binned him off ,genuinely can’t get my head around Pep wanting him after he binned Hart for Bravo who made Immel look like Gordon Banks

Bravo started disastrously and never recovered, he was a bag of nerves whenever he played for us.
