Do they usually hand the award out before the end of the season?

probably drop it :)
Maybe Bobby will let Pants go up and accept it on Joe's behalf ;)

Don't know if his injury he picked up on saturday has ruled him out for the rest of season? - If it has then i don't think he'll win it this year as he's got quiet a few keepers only just behind him i believe...

Saturday was a golden opportunity to record another clean sheet - He's only got himself to blame for that though..
It hasn't ruled him out for rest of season, according to Mancini he will be back this weekend.

He's been good. Although he can be much better. He is a king among Goalkeepers I'm sure he'll be not only good but brilliant next season.

Maybe Pants deserves his chance now, regardless of whether Joe is fit or not for the weekend. Joe can always come back in for the West Brom game.

Also, we defend from the front with Carlos and Kun working their bollocks off, so any Golden Gloves award will reflect the efforts of the team.

2 in front with 4 games left 1 more clean sheet will do it saying that I think he has it now

Saturdays goal will no doubt count as an error which shows stats can lie everyone at the ground and watching on TV could see he was struggling with injury. Whilst not at his best this season there were still some amazing performances Dortmund at home was simply the best keeping display I've ever seen.

I think this season he has made more top level saves than he ever has before. Real Madrid away, Borussia Dortmund at home, that one from Wigan at home last week to name about fifteen saves you won't see better anywhere. He will probably win the golden glove too. Yet he's made more mistakes than he ever has before.

I'm not worried. He'll take the good points from this year and bounce back next season.

No-one has answered what I asked tho - is it time to bring in a senior experiences keeper to either bring him on or challenge him for his place?

For me, yes. Competition is good

Every player goes through a bad patch. But the way some on here are so willing to discard Joe after a few mistakes is disgusting. The guy is one of the few who actually bleeds City not just here for his wages. He's also had his share of great games this season and yes he's also been a bit butter fingers as well. I have no doubt he will work hard in the summer and will be much improved next season. We are lucky to have him.
