Was at work at the time, out in the car. When I got back to the office I told about 10 colleagues that Joe Strummer had died. All of them said 'who?'. I was really stunned that no one knew who it was. The team were a range of ages, and one was a proper musician who played in a bad for years!

Love The Clash , and Joe was a great writer and front man , sadly missed..
Tonight when im pissed i will be playing Sandadista.. Brilliant album

He died a few days after playing at Blackpool with the Mescaleros. Still regret not going. Played their version of Bob Marleys' Redemption Song on Cup semi final day, it just seemed to be appropriate as to me that was our redemption day. Well worth a listen if you've never heard it.
Rock legend.
