Nice man.

What a hypocrite. QPR were on their arse financially, and faced administration before Ecclestone, Briatore and Mittal made them (at the time) the richest club in the country, outspending everyone, which lead to their promotion. City stuck by and supported him through all his episodes, planting a cigar in Tandy's eye, fighting in Bangkok, his brothers racist murder, etc, and he comes out with this? If I ever meet whoever punched him, I'll shake their hand, and buy them a pint or two.

I was once told some years ago while he was still with us by someone who was then on the playing staff, that Mr Barton preferred male company rather than female, so it seems quite apt that this incident happened outside such a bar, maybe a former accuaintance?

Not saying he definately is turtle, just what i was told at the time from a former player. But wouldn't do his image much good if he was, especially back in Liverpool.
