Just been on SSN that he's been refused entry into the USA for Newcastle's pre-season tour, He's had to come back and train with the reserves.

I don't know any of the details, but I'd guess they use stricter criteria for work visas than for tourist visas.

I suspect Sky are talking shit here. He will have had to apply for a work visa so will have known well in advance of even going to the airport if he would be allowed entry or not. He won't have arrived in the States and then got turned away.

according to ssn's quotes he's taken it on the chin, saying that he wouldn't expect to be treated any differently to anyone else in the same situation & that he'll continue to try to make himself a better person. fair enough on the fella.
