Unfortunatley i couldn't make QPR on Saturday, But just wondering for those that were there what his reception was like?

I saw him give a clap to the City section when he went over the take a corner but was it a sarcastic clap or actual appreciation maybe to the minority of city fans who applauded him?

And whats your personal reaction/opinion around joey barton?

Personally i always give him a clap, not arsed about what he said or did after he left city but without him (And Dunney) we possibly would have been relegated the season Pearce was in charge.

He is a prick of the highest order and if he was not a footballer he would be in prison with his step brother.

He is a bully and a loud mouth and the day we sold him was one of the best days during that time.

Rant over :o)

You don't know what your talking about! Forget what he's like off the field! When he played for city he was head and shoulders above anyone at the club during the Pearce era! We probably would have gone down if it wasn't for Barton

Hi Joey.

Thanks, btw.

He faced the City fans after the game (he was one of the last off) and gave us a clap, it certainly didn't look sarcastic.

He got a mixed reception during the game, I saw a few people jeer him and call him a wanker, and a few clapped him.

I'm easy oasy about him, admittedly he's an arse but he was an important player for us, so when he applauded us after the final whistle I applauded back. It took some moral backbone to do it so I'll repay the favour.

Great to watch yaya just brush him aside a couple of times, gulf in class easy to see

he's a delusional arse hole who thinks he's a fucking philosopher.
He served his purpose with City who are way beyond such journeymen now.

Give him a break you fool he did well for city when he was here and he should be applauded for what he done for us!!!

-- Mon Nov 07, 2011 11:38 am --
