What if he was sold/loaned this summer to a team in another league, would he serve the 12 match ban abroad?
Or would the ban be awaiting him if he ever returned to the PL?
If he isn't named in the QPR PL team is the ban still in effect?

Spot on. Unbelievable that some are trying to, in some way, defend the twat. If he pulled the same stunt on the streets, he'd be in jail. One day, either on the pitch or out on the street, he's going to pick an argument with the wrong bloke; it can't come quick enough.

I tell you what reading some of the posts on this thread there almost as bad as Talkshite today having his mothers meeting on Barton and his track record. Nobody can defend what he did but at the end of the day what he did was petulance purely and utterly, but because he has previous lets beat him again and again and again very very big stick.

They guy has issues but so did our Duncan Ferguson, Cantona and long list of others I can't be *rsed to dredge up and spew onto the page. The fact of the matter is after listening to Clark Carlisle today PFA chairman QPR cannot sack him because he has not committed gross conduct. They won't get rid of because it will cost so to much to get shot of him.

Therefore he will sit out his punishment which he deserves and he will try and get back in QPR's side again. FFS some just aren't satisfied about kicking a man when he's down they wanna jump up and down on his head too.

How many times has Barton got to go off the rails to convince someone like you that he's a complete fucking bellend who's well past any sort of help???
