Joey Barton

Now under investigation for possibly breaking betting rules (alleged to be from the barca demolition of celtic)

Im not really familiar on the rules when it comes to footballers betting. What is wrong with him betting on 2 teams he has nothing to do with?

I'm normally quite forgiving of those who have a bit of "rogue" about them. In Bartons case I'll make an exception because he's proved time and time again to be a bit of a shithouse and a coward. Two traits I'm definitely not forgiving for.
His background is no excuse. I've known kids who've had it far worse and not had millions in the bank to fall back on who are 10 times the person Barton has become.

Its just me or does anyone else think its a bit strange that in the same week/fortnight that he releases his autobiography (it out this Thursday), Sir Joey kicks off in training then gets put under investigation for breaking betting rules? Thus giving him maximum exposure in the media!

Basically EVERYONE involved in the game is banned from betting on it, , & as "Sir Joseph" had played against Celtic a few days before, could be argued that he had inside information

So you cant bet on any footy match at all? I didnt know that, cheers.
Seems a little harsh, but probably the only way they can 100% stamp out cheating i suppose

No, it's not strange and it's far to much of a coincidence as well... You are thinking what I'm thinking

Ten seasons ago we were in a desperate state, both on and off the pitch.

Somehow we survived, thanks mainly to the efforts of Micah Richards, Sylvain Distin, Richard Dunne and Joey Barton.
Three of those players are a credit to their profession.

They all know each other and it's an easy way to match fix? We scratch your back this week, you scratch ours next week sort of job.

This is a fascinating article. Jeez, what a family, Interesting to read his warped thinking about the sending off in the 3-2 . Had to laugh at Mike Ashley sending him a bill for using his helicopter. Apparently Barton thinks that Mark Hughes has "poor people skills".
Judging by that article a decent chunk of the book is made up of justifying his violence and that of his degenerate family. It's pathetic that Barton gives the impression that anyone growing up on a council estate has no alternative but to turn to violence and crime - the majority manage to avoid that route.

I think the intention is to make it clear cut, so that they don't get sucked in gradually to the point that the bookies have hold over them. And make sure that can't inadvertently cross the line, by not giving them a line to cross.

He's trying to justify his psychotic nature by saying it's because he was brought up on a council estate? What a Grade A prick this man really is! I was born and brought up on a council estate but I didn't turn to crime to get by. Millions and millions of people have working class origins but this excuse for a man seems to be saying: "Pity me. I wasn't brought up in a seven bedroomed, mock Tudor mansion in leafy suburbia. My daddy wasn't a member of the aristocracy with billions in the bank, and we didn't have a fleet of BMW's and Merc's in our gravelled driveway with liveried chauffeurs on 24-hour call."

It's not a question of class distinction, you fuck-witted colostomy bag, you. But still, carry on with your deluded ramblings, I'm sure TalkSport will be drawing up a contract for you even now.

He is mentally sick.

He has severe personality disorders.

These are responsible for making him a vile, vomit inducing, horrid excuse of a 'man'.

Just saying...

JJ
Excuse me,this is not the Jose/united thread.. ; )

Bearing in mind he played for a side beaten 5-1 by celtic just before they went to Barca, I hope he didn't back a hoops win, would be a tad rough to lose money in a bet and then get fined for that bet
