The problem is that it's a vicious cycle.If making money is the prerogative then it's good business
of course you have to sacrifice your soul, be hated and come across as a right thick horrible **** so not sure it's totally worth it, however much he's making.
We've seen with the likes of Katie Hopkins that you can have a career for a while based on being a bit snobby about kids' names - but if you're business is shocking people, then you constantly need to go further, until you end up a bankrupt racist.
The only way to keep it up is to have contrary opinions about everything, like Morgan and Clarkson, but never go too far down the rabbit hole. For me, if Barton is trying to stir up controversy for publicity, he's gone way too far, way too quickly.

He’ll disappear soon enough when everyone gets bored of him
He knows this and is likely cashing in where he can.

20 years back before this social media malarkey, Barton would be holding court in some boozer to a small amount of hanger ons before he was sparked out by some **** for mouthing off about the wrong thing.
Now a days he's leading some sort of online group in this "battle for Britain" thing I saw him post about, some of the men replying are shamelessly licking his arse for a like.
