John Foster - Tales of Blue

That was a great interview.
Think we all had high hopes for Foster, but injuries were the thing that held him back. Pity cos I think he'd have been very good for us.
Love his tale about how Quinn and Curle stood up for him when Ball had a go at him.

Thanks mate, John was certainly around during a crazy period at the club which included five managers in one season alone !!

Enjoyed the interview with John. I liked him as a player and was sorry injuries affected him the way they did.

The best game I saw him have was at Selhurst Park against Palace. Remember him charging up the right with a great run and a cross for Uwe to score with a cracking header. (Made it 1-1, but we still managed to lose it after that.) Came across as a pleasant lad, anyway.

Thanks for the support mate and I think I've got a face more for radio than CityTV ;-)
Don’t do yourself down mate. You let the the interview flow. To many interviewers like the sound off their own voice.Really think the club should incorporate you into city tv. Some quality stories across the decades mate, still can’t believe the amount of views you have, should be a lot higher. Keep up the good work, it is much appreciated.

Good interview, enjoyed that.

We used to get complimentary tickets off him now and again as his mum worked with my mum at North Manchester Hospital.

Agree - it's up to all of us Blues from that era to share the videos on our own facebook or twatter or send it via messenger to your Blue friends or local supporters club branch and ask them to pass it on too. Word of mouth always does the trick.

Would certainly be great to attract more subscribers and interest to the channel for sure. It's a pleasure to interview the former players and even more to share them.

Feel free to subscribe and share as it will be appreciated.

Commented on this lad in a separate thread. Remember him playing against Forest in a midweek game in 1991 when we had an injury crisis. Looked an absolutely great player and thought he'd be our centre back for years to come. Injuries can be cruel.
